On The Outside

On my journey to becoming a Master Mason I expect to discover the tools of freemasonry with an understanding of the rules in how and when they are to be applied. I expect to discover new knowledge, worthy of burying deep within my bones so I will never forget it. I hope to experience the pleasure of making all the right choices and conquer all my fears about making the wrong ones. I hope to experience a rebirth in the meaning of my life so that all the signs and symbols before my eyes are as clear to me as death is to us all. From what I already know, Freemasonry is all about being a part of man’s greatest creation thus far. A fraternity of men bound together by powers unknown to the rest of the world. Wise and understanding men entrusted with knowledge unbelievable to the regular man, too grand for the average person to bear, and a joke to everyone else.

Freemasonry was created by Men who have made history, seen the future, and know how to live each moment to its fullest potential. As a Master Mason I intend to uphold the oaths I take with all my heart, soul and strength. I intend to craft keys made of stone, capable of withstanding the harshest of elements and most torrential storms this world has to oer. Stone that comes from the earth and began as coal. Put under the most intense heat and pressure, this stone rises to the earth’s surface and shows itself as the hardest substance known…diamond. These keys are meant to join the ring of all stone keys, able to unlock all the right doors, so that the mysteries hidden behind them may be ready for investigation and exploration.

Lastly, but certainly not least among my intentions, I will empower my newly found brothers with bonds strong enough to endure impossible odds, by using the tools given to me to work my part faithfully.
